Awards and Contests

  • (YIC) – The Challenge encourages youth across Canada to organize into diverse teams of three or more and participate in a three-stage competition proposing a project that will have a social and/or environmental impact. The top 30 teams with the most impactful ideas will receive $1,000 each, with the top team winning an additional $10,000.

Scholarships


  • $3,000 bursaries for post-secondary studies in French as a second language
  • Futures Forward 
    • for current or former youth in care in Manitoba (no age or care status restrictions)
  • – Awarded to Jewish high school students who are in need of financial assistance to begin full-time post-secondary education at a University, College or other post-secondary program in Manitoba. Deadline: March 31 of any given year. 

  • A search engine giving students worldwide access to scholarship opportunities.
  • - Awarded annually, the scholarship provides a one-time contribution of $5,000 to a post-secondary student in Canada who lost a parent to cancer.

  • - Three categories of Scholarships will be awarded to: (1) students in Winnipeg, (2) students outside of Winnipeg, and (3) students who are Indigenous. The winning student in each category receives $500. 
  • – Applications are accepted Feb. 1 - March 31 of each calendar year.
  • – an innovative scholarship program for young Canadians (ages 15-29) looking to learn new skills for the modern workforce.
  • – Presented to one male and one female graduating high school hockey player – a $2,500 scholarship to be used towards post-secondary education.

  • A free, evidenced-based program for teens and young adults grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. Proven outcomes for participants include reduced anxiety, increased well-being and mindfulness skills.
